The Bastion range goes from strength to strength

A personnel and equipment carrier used by many African armies, the Bastion is constantly being renewed. Renowned and approved, it is now a benchmark in reconnaissance and combat vehicles.

A new, more powerful engine for the Bastion

For 2019, the Bastion range has been enhanced with a new 270 HP engine. From now on, 2 types of engine are available (180 HP for the previous one).

This new range is fully in line with Arquus'' ability to improve the performance of its vehicles. The company continues to perfect its systems.

In addition to the Volvo reengining, 60 “Bastion armored hulls” were produced at the Garchizy site in 2019. At the beginning of the year, the 1000th VLRA / Bastion chassis was produced.

Arquushas developed several Bastion variants, just like this production run:

  • Bastion APC
  • Patsas
  • Fortress

The Bastion, spearheading our exports

Exports are an essential cog in the ARQUUS business model: in 2019, 42% of the brand's firm orders came from abroad.

Unsurprisingly, the Bastion was one of the main export deliveries last year. No fewer than 59 Bastions were delivered:

  • 46 Bastions in March (G5 Sahel contract)
  • 13 additional Bastions for the G5 Sahel

Under the partnership between AM General and ARQUUS, the American manufacturer can manufacture the Bastion under license, for the FMS markets.
