When René Panhard died, his son Hyppolite succeeded him until 1915. It was in that year, after studying law, that Paul Panhard took over from his cousin at the General Management of Panhard.
Five years before leaving his post, in 1960, Paul was awarded the diploma "Prestige de la France" for the Panhard company. This diploma was awarded by the Comité de France and recognized his contribution to the prestige of France and its industrial influence. This title will appear thereafter in the manuals of handling of the Panhard vehicles (cf brief of October 4).
